The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, Samuel! Samuel! Then Samuel said, Speak for your servant is listening. 1st Samuel 3:10
While driving today I found myself straining to listen to the words of a new Casting Crown song. I found myself listening intently to every word and I had to ask myself, "What If?"
What if we spent our days listening to our Father intently? What if we strained to see His desires for our lives?
What if the cab driver prayed for each person that was going to enter his cab? And what if he looked into their eyes and silently asked, " How can I help you meet Jesus today?"
What if every time we shopped we did the same? What if every transaction and exchange of our change could become a God moment for someone today? Each person we come in contact with has cares, concerns and worries. What if we could direct their thoughts towards Heaven? And what if we could see them like Jesus does? Weren't we all lost and alone before we met Christ?
What if the corporate president cleared his desk and sat and prayed for his co-workers today? And what if the teacher prayed for each child that would enter her classroom?
I recently read of a man that was on aplane. His desire was to close his eyes and relax. But soon into his flight he felt a tapping on his shoulder.
The little mentally impaired girl began to chatter. " Mister, are you happy today? Mister, do you go to church? Mister, do you know Jesus?" All through out the flight he watched her. Who ever she met she asked the same questions.
What if WE had the heart of this child."
What If
What if I showed no fear
When talking about Christ?
What if I spent my time telling others
How He can change their life?
What if I had the heart of a child?
And the faith of a mustard seed?
And what if In God we trust
Was more than just a creed?
What if I saw with my heart
And not just my eyes?
And what if I really loved Christ
Without compromise?
What if I believed
That my friends really were lost?
And what if today was the day
I said,"He died on the cross?"
WHAT IF?
