Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the Lord, worshipping the Lord. 2 Ch. 20:18
Last week I received a text message from my fiance. She had been listening to a song and it stirred her. Her text was short and to the point. She asked, " When was the last time you laid your face down in total surrender?"
Don't you love it when God sends people into your life that will ask the hard questions? I had to admit it had been awhile. And the question is why? What has stopped me from laying my heart prone on the floor. What has stopped me from closing my eyes, seeing his blood stained garment and being a Christian that mourns for God's precious Son?
Our perfect Father waits for those times when we bow in total surrender. It is in these times that He can breath His breath of life into our weakened body.We are where we need to be when we stop, drop and lay everything at the alter. As Christians we are where we should be when we put on His blood stained garment. We are where we want to be when we seek those times and make them a top priority of our day.
I invite you to do this at once. Fellowship with Him before the phone rings, before the kids call and before your heart makes excuses. Cry out in desperation as you let the tears flow. Place Him back on the throne where he belongs.
Place Him on the throne
Where he belongs.
Find it in your heart
To sing a new song.
Do this everyday
And do not stop.
Go ahead now
Christian drop.
Give Him all the honor
He deserves.
Let Him take your heart
And show you how to serve.
Onward Christian soldier
Do it now.
Lay your heart upon the alter
Come and bow.
