Do You Have It?

This summer I had the pleasure of spending time with an amazing young man. I spent some time down the shore on Long Beach Island in New Jersey. I was up close and personal with truly an amazing kid.

Timothy is my fiance's son and he has been involved with the Surflight Theater for six years. This year he played John Davidson's son in one show. But the amazing thing about Timothy is he was also involved with two other shows at the same time.

Imagine the talent to have three different story lines and multiple songs running through your head. And what really impressed me is I never once heard Tim complain of things being too hectic.

With a schedule that included practice at 10:00 A.M., a show at twelve, lunch and then two more shows he never lost his joy to be on stage. His light shined ever day I was in his presence.

Just as Timothy spent his waking hours on stage we as Christians do too. We are the presenters of the message of Christ. The world is our audience and reads our life. When the spotlight shines it's bright lite upon your face are you glowing for Christ? Do you have the joy of the Lord and the enthusiasm of a child?

Joy comes from a deep contentment flowing out from us. Does contentment reign in your heart or are you anxious and unsettled? Has Satan stolen your love song for Christ? Or has he entered into the audience and heckled you right off the Christian stage? He prowls, he lurks and he waits to steal our joy. Let us not forget we are called to be street mintrials for Christ. Just as my friend Timothy never complained put on the comforter of Christ and let's tell the world how He has changed our life.
