Have You Called Lately?

Every one who calls on the Lord will be saved. Joel 2:32

Have you ever know anyone to cry out to the Lord in their lost confusion and then fall right back into their old sin pattern? Like a puppy dog whining for attention they come with a whimpering heart.

What they fail to realize is that in the saving process God is looking for something from us. He wants a relationship. As casual as good conversation around a kitchen table He wants to fellowship with us. As rewarding as a room full of laughter He wants to reminisce with us.

So have you called Him lately? The same longing we have to talk to a old friend we should long for Him. He wants to be involved with every aspect and every corner of our plans. Send God an invitation to touch you in your loneliness. Call Him into the battle field of your mind. Let Him disconnect you from Life's entanglements. Ask Him to destroy strongholds and break relationships that are unhealthy for you.

Have a cuppa and let Him consume you and carry you to new heights of service. Run straight to His heart with all of your worries, all of your heart ache and all of your headaches. We foolishly search in vain for anything that does not have His hand written on it.

Any concerns we have can be placed upon His shoulders. The door will be opened, the window will rise. The glorious sun will touch our anxious cold heart but only if we call.

Oh Father,

How foolish of me to shoot up a prayer
And then just walk away.
To close my eyes to the very fact
That You want a relationship today.

My Father, Oh Father forgive me
For I have played a fool.
I sought advice from the world
And I have followed all their rules.

So now Lord this is my promise
To talk to You each day.
I simply want to know Your heart
And let You lead the way.
