The end of a matter is better than a beginning. Ecc 7:8
Have you ever looked into the eyes of suffering? I do this twice a week. It started two years ago when my business came to a dead stand still. In the wake of mortgage companies shutting down I was desperate for some cash to put food on the table.
So I began to give plasma for money. Once I got back on my feet I made a promise to God that I would continue giving and then give the money away. I have seen that money used by a homeless mom that needed to have money to go on job interviews. It has been used to help a mom that didn't have a furnace. Then there is the mom that didn't have a dryer with three kids at home.
Now I look at the scars on my arms and it reminds me of another man that walked this earth and attained scars driven by His loving heart. When laborers go out into the field and find others that have trials God's love shows up.
Suffering is God's tool to drive His need for a Savior deep into our soul. We all endure low days and tough times. When we suffer our faith either rises or falls. But deep within that sorrow comes the chance for a smile to explode into laughter.
Sorrow is a request from our heart to bring a comforter. Trials take a man that of little faith and turns him into a giant for Christ. Your weakness is a message from God that he will bring His full portion.
When a child, any child, first is learning to play a new instrument screeching sounds always fill the room. But with practice, preparation and perseverance this child plays a beautiful song. The end is better than the beginning. What song is God preparing you for? Wait my child for this beautiful song.
Oh Father
I can finally comprehend
And now I understand
The reason for my suffering
And the movement of Your hand.
I thank You my sweet Father
For teaching me to smile
Even in the worst of times
And all my difficult trials.
Now Lord when I walk
I have assurance You are near.
And all because
Of Your consistent love
I never walk in fear.
