Which Thief Are You?

Lord remember me when You come into your kingdom Luke 23:42

I once had a man tell me that you will never know the true character of a person until they are squeezed. It is then that you find out what they have on the inside.

In biblical terms we saw that when the Savior hung between two thief's. One mocked him and challenged him by saying, " if you are who you say you are prove it." The other was wise enough to repent right on the cross and said a simple request to be remembered.

My question is are we mocking Him now? When Christ is not first in our lives we reject Him. When we become more concerned with what we will eat or our next pleasure rather than time with God we hurt Him.

How often does the tough times drive us away from Christ rather then to Him? We are practical atheists when we pray and He does not answer in our time and then blame Him. We are upside down and backwards. We should just believe and trust in His perfect timing.

Which side of the cross are you on. Have you rejected Him? Have you wandered away? Like the thief that was forgiven when we are stripped to nothing God still will call us to be with Him in paradise. God desires to bring you back into fellowship. Like the thief on the cross that was touched let Him touch you today.

Father,

Conviction of sin
means I'm not worthy
And I need a Savior today.

I admit my wayward ways
So there is nothing left to say.

Now my heart rejoices
I am on the right side of the cross.
I have handed You my heart
And now I count it but loss.
