glory of the Lord appeared Ex. 16:10
When I was a struggling insurance agent I did something that changed my career for the rest of my life. I began to take note of how I was spending my time. Every fifteen minutes through out the day I would take note of what I was doing. From early morning to the end of the day I had an honest report of what I was doing with my time. I went from being in the lower third of the sales team to finishing number thirty seven out of three thousand agents.
Accountability was what it was all about. Now I am not proposing that you do that regarding your Christian walk. But let's be honest, on a scale of one to ten how often do you think of Christ?
I am not talking about having the Christian radio station on. I am not talking about sitting in church being fed. I am talking about being washed in His glory. The scar tissue of our lives, the mistakes of our past can not be broken until we do something. The roar of life must be quieted. The rush of life must be simplified.
We are the visible, tangible walking on earth fulfillment of His perfection. There is glory in His saints. By our praise, fruitfulness, service and suffering we glorify God. Connecting with God is vital on a daily basis.
God wants to know you in your brokenness. He wants to have you cry out to Him now. Not when all is well but now.
Father,
I can't imagine life
Without You in it.
I can't imagine days to quietly just sit.
Those moments are so precious
And vital in my life.
A time to get to know You
And let you wash away my strife.
My Lord, oh Lord
Just wash me.
Bath me in Your love
So I might feel Your presence
From the highest point above.
