The Lord Reigns

The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad Psalm 97:1

I can think of a whole lot of things that I am glad for. I am glad to make it through another day without major calamity. I am glad my children are safe and they didn't do anything foolish or irriversible. I am glad that my car made it one more day.

But I have to ask myself of the thousands of seconds that ticked off the clock today how much time did I rejoice in the Lord and declare that He reigns. I am ashamed of my answer. I am ashamed that I did not once think of His majesty today. Not once did I declare His glory in my life.

I am sorry to say that not once did I proclaim His victory over death. Not once did I fall on my face in amazement of His callig my name and putting it in the book of life.

Just like we forget the sun rises everyday and sets every night we take Christ for granted. Let us stop right now and rejoice in the reigning King of glory. Let us dwell on His love, His goodness and every promise fullfilled. Indeed the Lord reigns.

In all that I have
And all that I own
Let me never forget
That He sits on the throne.

Let the Lord reign
And the earth be glad
And never forget
All that He did.
