Defining Moments

The Lord will go ahead of you Isaiah 52:12

All of us have defining moments in our life that are life changing. Mine happened to me in 10th grade. My parents were fed up with my renegade brothers causing havoc in the small town we lived in and chose to uproot the family and move away.

I was thrown into the throngs of a new school and had no desire to be there. This school was three times bigger than my home school. I had no desire to know anybody so I completely withdrew.

By nature I am a very gregarious, out going, talk to anybody guy. But I would literally go days, weeks and months without talking to one soul in school. I was miserable and almost didn't make it out alive.

To survive I began to write out all of my feelings. Thus began my journey of being able to express myself on paper. It became my therapy and eventually my mode of survival.

Certainly God knew well in advance what He needed to do to capture me. He knew me well enough to take me to this level of pain so I could turn it into glory for Him.

If you are there right now realize that God is in control of every minute detail to glory the Kingdom. His perfect plan is well in place to achieve His ultimate end result. Surrender all so you can give it all. He has already laid the plans and gone before you.

How wonderful is our Lord
That knows us oh so well
That in His perfect plans
There are times we can not tell.

But in His perfect way
And by His perfect hand
He will direct our steps
In ways we may never understand.

Oh Lord, your ways are perfect
So I will just obey.
Move me Lord,
Lead me Lord,
This is what I pray.
