The Gateway To God's Presence

come before His presence Ps. 100:2

If you were to ask me years ago I wouldn't have been able to make this statement and that is that circumstances are the gateway to God's presence. Often times the circumstances that we are in take control of our lives rather than letting God take control of our circumstances. As human as it is we doubt what God's reason is for our struggles.

Look no further than Joseph to realize we need to adopt his attitude. For thirteen years after being stripped away from all that he knew as a child he labored. Torn violently from his father, sold into slavery, he eventually flourished. We must never doubt God's reason for our tough times.

Rather, we must develop a big view of God. We must continue to pursue God inspite of our situation. People often fall away in the difficulties rather doing all they can to stay close to Christ.

All efforts must be made to protect our character. Joseph refused to sin because he knew he would loose the presence of Christ. As Joseph resisted temptation he made the right choice. he never doubted God's goodness. He never raised a hand or a voice against Father.

He increased his desire to serve others. Serving is God's way of healing us in our life struggles. For it is in this serving that we are allowed to use our God given gifts.

Are you in the mist of the storm? Then double dose all of these lessons and come through with shining colors just like Joseph.

Father,

It is in your presence
That I want to reside.
No matter what my circumstances.
No matter how high is the tide.

I will run to You
And totally abide.
Knowing all so well
There is peace right at Your side.
