Don't Let Sin Capture You

I will watch my ways Psalm 39:1

Have you ever considered the danger in a job that deals with toxic waste? One messed up procedure, one faint thought could cost them their lives. I had a client that had to deal with it everyday. When I went to his work to get a form signed I had the opportunity to see this first hand.

I was not allowed into the inner chamber. But I did see him in an envirometically sealed off room. He told me the hermedically sealed, vacuumed packed scientific suit he had to wear for protection cost thousands. Now there was a man that had to watch his ways.

As Christians we also have to watch our ways. Temptaion lurks at every corner. Satan knows our weakness and has already placed things specifically in our path. The question is will you step to the other side of the road? Or will you wait till darkness comes and rush to this temptation?

Some Christians feel that they are born to danger. But in reality there are two types of danger. There is unforseen danger. And there is danger that we are attracted to. One we have no control over. The other we bring trouble to ourselves by not making wise choices.

How do we deal with the second type? By putting on the full armour of God. By saying, " I have been here before and failed but not this time." Be stern in your words and strong in your stance. God will hear your plea.

I have been here my bretheren. It was not until I grew in my maturity that I was able to make kingdom choices. I had fallen from grace enough. I knew what to do and I decided I was not going to let sin capture me.

I've played the fool more than once.
Pretending I did not know.
Convinced my heart more often than not
That I would not loose control.

The Savior cannot reside
In a heart that occupies sin.
So I say Christian friend of mine
It is time to let God win.

Make the choice to flee.
Move as fast as you can.
Move your heart
To the foot of the cross
And then just reach for His hand.
