Going A Little Farther

Going a little farther he fell with his face to the ground and prayed Matthew 26:39

When we fall to the ground something happens. There is an overwhelming, uncontrollable pouring out of the heart. Almost to the point that our insides are turned inside out.

How earth shattering is this moment? How intimate becomes this day? Jesus is now revealed in an intimate way.Before He was your friend now He is your brother. Before you knew of Him. Now you know Him.

His presence becomes a constant force. Each choice is now weighed at the cross. His ways become your ways. His desires become yours. How precious become His thoughts to our wandering mind. How critical that we fall on our face and hear His voice everyday.

In the stillness I shall wait
To travel up to heaven's gate.
Heart once wandering
Soul once lost,
Given over
At all cost.

A face once grovelling
In the dust
I must know You.
I must, I must.
