Do You Want Intimacy With Christ?

I die daily 1st Cor. 15:13

If I was to ask a room full of Christians how many of them would want to have intimacy with Christ do you think I would get a unanimous answer? Who wouldn't want a closer, vibrant walk with the Savior? Who wouldn't want a deeper undersatnding of His wants and ways?

Intimacy with Christ takes a commitment to purity and a willingness to die. When God calls us higher and demands more from us it comes with a voice. It is God calling to put you into the inferno. First we must be purified. Once the potter takes us off the wheel we must be willing to maintain that state.

All decisions are then weighed on the side of the cross. All choices aligned with a desire to stay close to Christ. Daily our desire becomes to stand clean before the throne.

The second element of intimacy is death to self. As apostle Paul said, " I die daily." Die to self. Die to the world and their ways. For some this is radical thinking. For others they are more than ready as their hunger for Christ has matched their willingness. Which one are you?

Father,

I fall upon my knees
And only want one thing,
Saturate my heart
It is for you I want to sing.

I'm ready to die to self
Every moment of the day.
Now I stand in the darkness
Listening to everything You say.
