When We Are Broken

Hath sent me to heal the broken hearted Luke. 4:18

If I was to tell you I broke something today and couldn't fix it, you would probably advise me to just go buy a new one. Broken usually has a negative connotation.

But the word broken in Christian vinecular is good because it is a synonym with surrendered. It is in our brokeness that we meet Christ. It is when we surrender our strongholds that He steps in and takes control.

When our heart is broken He appears to soothe it. When our spirit is broken He comes to mend it and then blend it into His. When our plans are suddenly broken or altered it is because of His devine intervention.

In todays world something broken appears useless. But in our Christian world when we are broken, God enters in, takes control of our plans and we fall upon His strength. This brokeness is the last step to allowing God to fully crush your spirit of self will and raise you up in His strength. May you experience the full expression of brokeness every day of your life.

Broken dreams
That sometime seemed
That there never was a plan.
Then God stepped in
And gently placed
His hand upon this man.

Tears shed
And words said,
" Why Lord must this be?"

"Because my son
You must be broken
Before you
Come to me."

I'm on my knee's and I'm looking up.
Now my Lord may I drink from the cup.
My prince, my love has captured me,
Oh my soul cries out for thee.

You're my blessing in the morning.
You're my song though out the day.
There is nothing I shall ever do
To ever walk away.

My love is over flowing.
My heart cries out at night.
My hands reach out to heaven
I am dancing like a kite.

My Jesus is so beautiful
He is my shining star.
I have found my love,
My reigning King,
I had searched both near and far.

I'm on my knee's and I'm looking up.
It's enought to drink from the cup.
My prince, my love has captured me.
Oh my soul cries out for thee.
