Who heals all your disease Psalm 103:3


As a college kid like most others I was broke. So when my car was in need of repair it was a major ordeal. Determined to save money I decided to fix it myself. My muffler had fallen and was kicking up sparks where ever I went.

I decided if I took a clothes hanger I could probably wire that puppy up. Not knowing a thing about cars I was out of my league. To make things worse, once I was under the car, I found a huge hole in the muffler.

So I went and found a coke can, cut off the top and bottom and was sure I could clamp that around the hole. Who needs a certified mechanic anyway?

Once the hole was fixed I crawled underneath the car to attach the muffler. I found the drive shaft was the most handy. To my chagrin I found out later it was also the most illogical place.

Four hours later, feeling quite proud of myself, I rolled out of my driveway. It took only one block for the wire to wrap around the drive shaft and ruin my great idea.

There is one great carpenter that knows how to fix everything. From our worries to our woes He holds the answer. We come with a broken heart He binds it up and fills us to overflowing with unequalled love. When our heart is anxious He calms the seas with just one breath. His tools are compassion, forgiveness and redemption and He never runs dry.

My great and glorious master,
My Father and my King,
I came to You in such a mess
And You fixed everything.

All questions quickly answered.
All worries tucked away.
I stand beneath Your shadow,
In humble obedience today.
