They go from strength to strength Psalm 84:7
What would you do if your world was suddenly turned upside down? How would you react? I have a friend that sat innocently at a basketball game. An inadvertent ball hit her in the head and her world changed from that point forward. Would you believe three brain surgeries? Would you believe she has lost 90% of hearing in one of her ears? And how would you react to two hearing aids?
Can you sense the weary road she has had to travel by herself as she is a single parent? Can you comprehend the struggles and toil she has had to endure? And she has done it with grace. Her knees have stayed bowed, her eyes have looked up and her heart has stayed open to Christ. I have never detected one bitter breath taken towards God.
To the non-Christian it would appear that God has wrecked her life. But she has gone from strength to strength in her relationship with Christ. Her faith has been strengthened and her heart has grown closer to the Holy Spirit.
God wrecked her world but His reasons were divine. Today I see this wonderful heart touching people from coast to coast. Powered by the Holy Spirit God can wreck you to set you on a new course with a new song.
Kingdom advances begin with one. Nehemiah stands as a man called by God to build a city and he did it in fifty two days. The most important thought in your mind is what you think of God. The most important message is the picture on your face. Everytime I talk with my friend I see a smile on her face and love within her heart. God has wrecked her to move her to use her.
Christian, when trials avail us we have one of two options. We can become angry with God and our circumstances or we can believe that this too God will turn to good. We can forsake the cross and fall face forward or we can embrace the cross and fall into Christ. We can believe our priest is in His holy place and receive His holy grace or we can turn our back for lack of faith. If the center of our circle is Christ we will triumph.
The center of my circle is Christ.
He still stands as the ruler of my life.
The rose still grows
From the crown upon His head.
And even if God crushes me
I'll praise Him til I'm dead.
All for God's perfect glory.
All for God's perfect plan.
It matters not what happens.
For my heart will
Accept His hand.
