I will seek that which was lost. Ezk. 34:16
Have you ever lost something and then tried to find it? I'm sure you have. If you are like me in the searching we become anxious, irritable and frustrated. And if that item is of significance it becomes down right catastrophic. But when the Lord does the searching notice the difference.
The good Shepherd wants me? Out of His immeasurable love I am of value? I am worthy to be found? Once found He provides for me. He purposefully plans for my rest as I lie down by still waters. His heart is filled with patience as He wants to lead me home.
There is no anxious search lights or search party. Just the good Shepherd that has a heart filled with inexhaustible love that diligently searches until I am found.
My heart is fixed on this Shepherd. I no longer wander alone or afraid deep into the night on a long lonely hill. My eyes are set upon the King of Kings. My care and provisions are in His hands.
A love so great
That He will never quit.
A love unstoppable
Is what I get.
This glorious Shepherd
In search of the one
That will accept the love
Brought by His Son.
My Shepherd, sweet Shepherd
Your lamb has come home.
No longer lost
No longer need I roam.
