The grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant. 1stTim. 1:14
Years ago I had the pleasure of sitting on a varanda in Hawaii catching an early breakfast on the edge of paradise. I caught the glimpse of a double rainbow and marvelled at the beauty created by the Rembrandt of the universe.
As I think about that marvel it reminds me of another aspect of our Father. Nothing under our own power could ever put Heaven in our own hands. We deserve nothing and can not earn anything regarding attainig residence in heaven as grace is not earned.
We can understand the flowing of grace by standing in a rain storm. We have no control over turning off the down pour. Like wise God pours out His grace upon our souls. So why do we trudge around this earth as if we are doomed? Why does this abundant grace not overflow into a joyous festival? What stops us from rejoicing whole heartedly so that the world will know?
Once we have a heart like Paul we will understand grace. For it was Paul that called himself the "Chief of sinners." You can see by his words and his heart that he understood grace.
Satans greatest ploy is to convince us we don't deserve the grace of the cross. Paul proved him wrong and went on to become the encouraging voice of the New Testement. So what could we do once grace flows like the blood in our veins? What storehouse of divine accomplishments is waiting for your name?
Filled with abundance
And touched by grace
It is my hope dear friend
That you will see it on my face.
Like a river overflowing
My Father has spoken.
And His are words
That can never be broken.
This grace of abundance
I now want to share.
For hidden in His grace
Is my Father's loving care.
