Confession Is The Beginning

My flesh and my heart may fail but God is the strength of my heart and my portion. Psalm 74:26

Have you ever met someone that could never say the words, " I'm sorry" or " I was wrong?"
As if they were one step away from a narcissistic personality they just couldn't get there. This thinking becomes the epitome of pride. In fact it is pride taken to its fullest degree.

What people such as this lack is a spiritual maturity. They look at life with humanistic eyes rather then  the eyes of our Father. When we look through spiritual eyes we see failure as an opportunity to learn , grow and to be more like Christ. We understand that to reach our full potential we must first learn to accept our failures for it is only in our failures we understand the power of perseverance.

It was not until I had acknowledged my failures that Christ could touch me as He has. It is in my failures that God has become my portion. Walk any winding road during a rugged Minnesota winter and you will find people that understand perseverance. This toughness creates hardy stock. They don't use the word quit and they seldom use the word can't. They persevere. They over come and Christ becomes their everything.

Run to Father in your failures
And He'll embrace you.
Tell Him you were wrong
And He'll know what to do.

Confession is the beginning
Of God changing who you are.
So you can be cleansed
From the inside out.
And be His shining star.
