I Was Lost But Now I Am Found

joy and gladness shall be found... Is. 57:10

I was reminded of a traumatic experience in my life the other day. At five years old while shopping at a mall I let go of my mothers hand and got lost. I went outside and sat on the curb crying like the baby I was. Not until a kind lady helped me get reconnected with my mother was I able to calm down.

Years later I was in the same mall and I saw a child about three years old wondering aimlessly. I scooped him into my arms and contacted security. I can still hear the screech of joy that rang out from the mother once she found her little one.

Then the other day I was shopping. I heard the voice of a little girl wandering down isle after isle, " Father, Daddy? Where are you Pappa? " The tone of her voice made me whisper, " Abba, Father? "

The voice of the mother shouting for joy over finding her lost little one should lead us to the risen Savior. Our joy should be exuberant everyday. This is one time in your life you can't love too much, desire too much or do too much for Jesus.

When I was a child it was a thrill to stand in a snow storm and catch the snow flakes on my tongue. The water was pure and the occasion was joyous. Are you tasting the living water of Jesus Christ? Do you bring a child like enthusiasm because you are found?

Oh Christian, to be that dependant, lost child again. Yes, to say every day, " Abba, Father? Daddy here I am, talk to me, show me and lead me to those that don't know Your name. " Life is not always fun and games and it is good for us to remember when we were lost and that Christ gave His life so we could be found. When we constantly seek Him, fellowship is instant, constant and contagious. Defy the whisperings of this world and be bold in your desire to know Him intimately.

Be lost in His glorious majestic throne of deliverance and be found in the beauty of the Lord. When the words, " You are my beloved" are etched deeply in your heart then you will have cried out, cried to and cried for Jesus. And as the kaleidoscope paints a different hue get lost in His presence and find a fresh combination of His unending love.

Father,
So many days I was lost
But now Lord I am found,
I sit now in the quiet,
I dare not make a sound.

The joyous beat of my heart,
Is pounding deep inside.
I am a child of the King
All because You chose to die.
