and obey His voice Ex.23:21
If you were to peek in my house in the morning you would see that I am always up early and raring to go. I often wake without an alarm clock and on vacation it is a curse because I can't sleep in.
There was one particular morning last summer that I will never forget. Once I am awake my mind is usually filled with a mile long "To Do" list. But this morning was different. I glanced outside and watched as the leaves on the trees shimmered and danced. I was transfixed with the beauty of creation that surrounded me at that very moment.
I laid there unable to get out of bed for sometime. It was as if my legs were stuck in a bucket of quick sand. I breathed in all of God's majesty and then as if He was in the room God communicated His will.
His will is and always will be for us to tell others about Jesus. Even though this event happened months ago He revealed it again to remind me that it is easy to get busy with the holidays and forget about others. Yet, how hard is it to arrange a time of Christmas cheer with a neighbor? My guess is if we invited ten people most would show up just because that is what we do during the season of cheer.
So as you look for that perfect gift for that special someone look for the one that does not know Christ and help deliver the real perfect gift.
God gave me a promise
Early on this day,
" I will show my majesty."
This is what He had to say.
It came as the sun started climbing
High up in the trees.
I poked my head outside
And felt the summer breeze.
The birds were all excited
As I heard them sing a song.
I swear they all were shouting
" Come on just sing along."
The trees were just a dancing
Moving to an interlude.
I swear I heard God say,
"Enjoy this peaceful mood.
Remember I'll be with you
In everything you seek.
And I'll be right beside you
The times you need to speak.
Rise up, come on , get busy
There are people you need to find,
To introduce them to Jesus
So they won't be left behind.
