made it a day of feast Esher 9:17
Years ago I was at a convention in the Bahamas. They were serving a seven course meal that began with caviar and vodka. This was the classiest dinner I had ever had the opportunity to partake in. I passed on the caviar and gave away my vodka but the night still is a favorite memory for dining.
I have had the opportunity to serve at many a gatherings of food, fun and fellowship. I find my mind wandering off to the very day we will feast with the Lord in heaven. The platter will be full before me. The table will be set with the finest of linen. The distinguished silverware will rest perfectly placed.
All nations will gather at the banquet table. All eyes will be upon the Lord. All tongues raising their voice in heaven. At that very moment we will lift up our hearts, our hands and rejoice with our Lord.
All pride will be set aside. Our dirty rags washed i n His blood. Our humanness weak in the very presence of Christ.
My eyes can see it now. The profound fellowship of the saints. Never again to conform to the patterns of this world but free to feast on the crem dela crem in heaven. Such ecstasy to have the peace that passes understanding touch us forever.
Lord,
I close my eyes
And I can see
The banquet table
You've prepared for me.
All friends and family
At my side.
What a glorious feast
As we abide.
