Have You Ever Felt Called?

for ye see your calling, brethren Ist. Cor. 1:26

Have you ever felt called by God? Has God ever showed in specifics what He has called you to? It is called a vision when God spells out in no uncertain terms what He wants from you. This privilege of being selected, of being chosen to rise higher and do more comes with a responsibility.

God is not going to allow it to happen until He can rely on you. Until He can, He is going to test you. He is going to push and pull you down into the valley. Your road will become rough before it is smooth. It will be crooked before it is straight.

This calling may seem out of reach before it becomes a reality. Don't loose heart. Don't become weak as that is exactly what Satan wants. Even though your very name may be assaulted never loose heart. When you are released from the potters wheel you will be more equipped for the calling. Never loose sight of the one who has called you, for in your faithfulness God always rewards. In the testing comes the tales of the greatness of God.

Before the vision can make sense to anyone else it must first rise from your soul. God has to drive it deep within you. Let Him do His work and have His way. Be completely surrendered to the calling.

Have you been sent to convey messages to the flock? Are you called to teach the teachers? Has God given you a vision for the homeless? Has He touched you with a prison ministry to give hope to the hopeless?

God's calling is distinctly heavenly. Never tremble over what He calls you into. Obedience brings selected rewards. Let God's desires haunt you until you become who He wants you to be. Deep down in the depths of our soul lie the answers to humanity. Let God be the voice that calls them forth.

Search for His hand
In all you do.
Never loose sight
Of what He wants from you.

The trials and struggles
Will all make sense
That very moment
You feel His presence.

Believe down deep
That He has a plan.
Dig in your feet
And take a stand.

Look to the heavens
And you will see,
The very reason
That He has called thee.
