As Long As Is Necessary

I have a young man that has been living with me for over a year now. As I have been involved with his life I have seen him have to over come some definite obstacles. In the last six months he has had to hurdle his car dying, getting four tickets, getting laid off his job, loosing his license and breaking his leg.

In situations like this I have a prayer box right on my bed stand. It came about from reading about an elderly woman that set a box by her bed and prayed herself to sleep.

As Christians it is easy to hear of concerns and our knee jerk reaction is to say " I will pray for you." But do we? I first saw a public display of praying for one another when I went to visit my sister in California. As I walked into church I saw two women sitting on a bench in obvious prayer. That instantaneous, lets pray it through concept has stayed with me ever since.

At times it might seem hopeless. But God is the answer to every human condition on earth. As long as is needed keep praying for those in need and someday you can be a voice of Gods miracles on earth.

As long as is necessary
I will pray with you.
As much as is needed
I will kneel it through.

The hardships you might carry
Will all fade away.
Because we dropped down on our knees
And gave it to Jesus today.

So friend just whisper to me
What you need to say.
Slowly it will happen.
You'll see a better day.

And soon you'll know down deep inside
A miracle performed.
All by the blood of Jesus
You will be reborn.
