yea, it shall be at an instant Is. 29:5 On a cold winter night years ago I had the opportunity to save a life. As we we were in the process of building our house I had spent the day knee deep in insulation.
On our way home I came across a car that had lost control and flipped into the ditch. The mother was walking around in the dark in a daze. The two year old was left to himself in the middle of a icy road and the baby was still strapped upside down in the car crying like a wolf.
Instantly, my nephew pulled out his knife and cut the baby from his car seat. Instantly, I ran to the wondering child and swooped him into my arms for safety. Without any hesitation we sprang into action.
Yet, how easy it would have been to just keep driving. How easy to convince myself that they would have been just fine and the next person would stop. The world is filled with headlines of people that never get involved. As Christians, just enough is not good enough.
If God is putting someone on your heart to help then do it now. If He continues to tap you into service dive in. You will be glad you did and so will they.
The easiest thing in the world
Is to say the words " I'm busy."
So often we fill our lives
That our world is in a tizzy.
So slow my life down Lord
As I truly want to see,
Because the one that needs my help
Might be standing next to me.
