What Stronghold Has Captured You?

What stronghold has captured you? What separates you from Christ? For me, it has always been a battle to have a kept, captured, clean heart before the thrown. My self willed independence marks me with battle scars.

We all have our battles before the cross. For some it is depression as they loose touch and feel separated from Jesus. For others it is addictions. Their will crumbles at the very moment of decision making.

Others struggle with having a demanding spirit. I once knew of someone that demanded the firing of a waitress because she made a mistake. Others battle with being so filled with self that there is no room for our Father.

All of these strongholds are designed by Satan to separate us from Christ. All of these strongholds must be layed on the anvil and as the sparks fly watch how our Lord hammers them from us. The good news is Jesus has already broken the hold that Satan believes he has on us. So come to do battle by honestly presenting them so they can be wrestled to the ground.

In Luke 22:332 it says " I have prayed for you." Jesus has already conquered the enemy. So beat the drum with thanksgiving and dance with the knowledge that we are over comers because of Christ.

Plow deep my King,
uproot all evil seed.
I am bathed in the blood of forgetfulness
and it was just for me You did bleed.

In the boldness of the thrown
I surrender all.
Please pick me up and steady me
when I begin to fall.
