words which I testify among you Duet. 32:46
Being that my mom was a workaholic I seldom saw her sit down and relax. But there was one show that captured her and that was Perry Mason. Old Perry was an expert attorney that could unwrap the best whodunnit mysteries.
I discovered there were two types of evidence. One was circumstantial and it was not enough to convict someone in court. It was more of a he/said, she/said account of the facts. The second type of evidence was something produced from an eye witness.
So may I ask today? If you were on trial as to whether you were a Christian would there be enough evidence to convict you?
Would there be an eye witness that would confess, " Yes, he told me about Jesus." Could you present someone that would say, " Yes, he prayed with me today. Has anyone heard your personal testimony and listened to your grounds for belief in Jesus lately?
Would there be anyone that could testify about your new life in Jesus Christ? Or has anyone seen you stand on Christian principles and heard you say that Gay lifestyles destroy the very fabric of our society. How about the issue of abortion. Do people hear you saying that it is taking a life?
As I ask myself these questions I have to further the investigation by asking if my actions have increased someones faith and have I encouraged the weak in heart. Anything less is a confirmation of a faith that is dormant and weak.
Christian, let us be an eyewitness to establish the Gospel and carry the cross one step further then it was yesterday.
When the evidence is presented
And I stand to defend
May the final verdict be
" He's a Christian, AMEN!"
May the facts be overwhelming.
So evident and true.
That I am a Christ centered man
And I am all about You.
