The Blue 10

and this is the gate of Heaven Gen. 28:17

It happens every year about this time in Minnesota. Road crews are every where fixing and preparing the roads for winter. Pot holes created by the contraction and expansion of the winter and summer months are needing attention.

One particular road I travel is Hwy 10. Now there is a blue Hwy way 10 and a new Hwy 10. The old Hwy I call the blue 10 because it is marked with a blue sign. Every time I pass the sign I have to remind myself not to take the blue 10.

Our path to Heaven is clearly marked. It is stained with a crimson red of Jesus shed blood. The roads are paved in gold and some day we will have the privilege of walking on them. These roads lead to everlasting bliss. There will be no sorrow, corruption, pain or death.

It will be a city filled with angels and just men. Everyday we will have the opportunity to experience joy, rest, peace and glory there. It is a dwelling place for the obedient, Holy, saved, changed and righteous.

At the end of this road awaits a loving Father with outstretched arms. A Father that can't wait to see us when we come home. Our eternal destination is clearly marked. We have our G.P.S., God's Perfect Salvation thanks to Jesus and that is all we need to get there.

Lord,
You paved the perfect path
for me to come back home.
I no longer have to wander,
I no longer have to roam.

Your paradise awaits me
and I can clearly see,
I know where I am headed
All because of thee.
