seek not a wife Hebrews 11:6
I was talking with a life long friend of mine and in our conversation she asked me if I was involved with anyone. I tried to explain to her that I was completely content with not having a special someone in my life.
Our society tends to find ways to ask that question and in a sense imply there is something wrong if you are single. Yet, it is a command not to seek a wife. We are to seek the Kingdom, seek the one to come, seek the Master and seek the Lord...all His heart.
We are to seek to touch Him, seek His face, seek not our own will. We are to do it daily, diligently and with delight.
In my past I have been a poster boy for reaching for all the wrong things. It is called true wisdom for those that seek only God. I hunger for that. I need that in my life. Once attained, we will receive understanding, live abundantly in Him and rejoice in just the mention of His name.
Call it old age but it is enough. And if God sees fit to bless me with more then I won't complain.
When God takes His paint brush
and He paints my wife.
It will be someone to honor
for the rest of my life.
We will speak a certain language.
We will dance the same dance.
We will not need many words
But just one special glance.
And in His perfect time,
He has a perfect plan.
So I will simply seek the Lord
And then I'll find her hand.

Beautiful, deep, yet simply stated.
Seek the truth and HIS word and all the rest will just fall into place.
God Bless You Brad for your honesty and clear understanding of all HE intends.
What a refreshing change from all the "me, me, me" people.
Honor and Grace will be your's oneday,
me
