This Hunger

Worship the Lord with gladness Psalm 100:2

Have you ever had the Lord speak to you? For me I feel it happens often. Sometimes my heart is stirred by a thought or an action. I can sense there is something the Lord wants to show me. Many times I walk around the house talking with an inward voice and asking God to show me what devotional is going to stir my heart.

Does this sound odd to you? Does it seem a bit strange that God can move us in such a way. Can He really communicate with us. I believe He can if we have a hunger for Him. This hunger, this strong anxious desire to seek Him is God's way of communicating with us.

No matter what you are doing at the time never deny God the opportunity to reach your heart. Stop at once and become the receiver of all that He wants to give you in those precious moments. This is how God dwells in your spirit. The Holy Spirit actively wants to preside in you.

This is the reality of communion with Christ. Take this road and your walk will reflect a heart felt desire to know Him. It will show a love so deep that it will be obvious that your want and your need is Christ alone. Then God will see your true commitment, your holy hunger and smile.

I am hungry for the gospel
to hear God's spoken word.
Teach me God I'm ready
Don't make it sound absurd.

I will follow where You lead me,
I will freely go.
I am hungry for the Gospel.
Teach me what I need to know.

It is only in Your presence
I can be complete.
It is all because of Jesus
That I won't taste defeat.

Please take away my burdens
So I can worship You.
I am hungry for the Gospel.
Show me what I need to do.

I will only reach for those things
written by Your hand.
As the world seeks it's pleasures
I will be a Godly man.

As I'm sitting in Your presence
Learning about You,
Show me Lord, tell me Lord
The things that I must do.
