If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above... Colossians 3:1
How do we keep God in us? How do we keep God as our number one priority? How do we keep our hands lifted up, our eyes on Jesus, our hearts tuned to the Kingdom and our soul thirsting for living water?
The simple answer is communion with Christ. Because of our redemption by Christ we are regenerated in Christ. We can identify with Christ in name, character and hope. We commune with Him because of our reconciliation. Accepting Christ gives us the same namesake. When we desire communion with Him and seek it through prayer on a daily basis it will draw us close to Christ.
Certainly, if we desire such, our walk will be fully alive. When we maintain these things our witness will be greater then building a skyscraper or bequesting millions. Our epetheth could surely read " Here lies a faithful servant that lived their life in everyday communion with Christ."
To be a great Christian takes deep communion. We cannot serve until we submit. Only the ones that take Him in can pour Him out. Drink deeply, search intently then live purposely for Christ.
I'm going to make a statement
For all the world to hear.
My life is just not right
Unless I have You near.
Rebellion took my feet away.
I was content to live my life.
But all that ever brought to me Lord
Was agony and strife.
You are the reason for each breath I take.
You are the reason I'm still here.
I want sweet complete communion Lord
Wash me with my tears.
How I long to hold You softly.
How I long to see Your face.
How I wait to hear You speak to me
And feel Your warm embrace.
You are my love song in the morning
To get me through the day.
I love You Lord with all my heart
And there is nothing left to say.
I love You Lord. You are my Lord.
