Live Your Life Fully Unto The Lord

Do not be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God, which transcends all understanding,and the peace of God will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6,7

I have a friend that was an excellent witness to me when I was a new believer. As a single guy in his mid thirties he was not worried about finding a mate. He lived his life fully unto the Lord. He often gathered all the single guys around at his house for Bible study and fellowship.

Whether it was washing our cars or listening to music it was always with Christ at the center. Be anxious for nothing is something he lived out. When we would go up North for camping everyone would look to him to organize and energize us.

A simple " Let's Go", and the next thing I would know is I would be trapezing through the woods and climbing rocks. His adventurous spirit was a message to me to not loose hope and that God was everywhere.

Once I went with him to help move some boxes at his parents house. At precisely 12:00 they said we needed to stop working. Then, out came his mom on the back of a tractor with all kinds of goodies loaded onto it for a picnic. Out into the woods all four of us adults went for a break to relax. It was at that time that I could see the imprint that his parents had made on him and it all made sense.

God wants us to reflect the peace that passes all understanding. Quoting scriptures and preaching to the choir has less of an impact than wearing Christ. Where ever God has you just let Him be the message and you might just be surprised who stands up and says " I want what you have."

If you can look to God
to be your true soul mate.
Surrendering your all
as you patiently wait.

He will bring the one
on that perfect day.
They will steal your heart
and take your breath away.

So don't be anxious
just look up.
Let Jesus satisfy you
then drink from the cup
