I Heard Him Calling Long Before He Came

I will call all the families Jer.1:15

My son's girlfriend and I were talking and she asked me a question that made my heart dance. She said she was going to be baptized and asked me if my son had ever been baptized. rather then getting into a theological disertation on water baptism I just simple said " No he hasn't."
Then she said " Good, because my brother and I plus John and the baby could be together."
I immediately went into prayer that this might be the time that God is calling my son to Him.

Looking back on my own sequences I can see that I heard God calling me long before He came
into my heart. God used specific people to plant kingdom seeds. A spiritual awareness occurred long before I said yes Lord yes. Their was a sprouting of seeds that were planted long before I stepped from darkness into light.

A friend of the family wrote me a letter declaring Jesus as Lord and Savior. Words hanging quietly on a wall spoke of Jesus and placed His name on the forefront of my mind. Two college kids filming an innocent video were sent to ask me spiritual questions that I had to fake my way through. Then those questions struck my sub conscience and haunted me. God surrounded me with men at work that blatantly proclaimed Jesus.

All of these events were specifically timed to open my eyes and speak to my heart. All of this happened so I could hear Him calling long before He came.

Father,
set Your arrow
take Your aim.
Give me the opportunity
to proclaim Your name.

Use me Lord
in all that I do
so I can reflect
the love from You.

When I get busy
and think of myself
take my wants
and but them on the shelf.
Just use me Lord.
