Beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory.Cor. 3:18
I've heard it said that to have a successful marriage you need a number of well planned out dark days. These are days when you pull down the shades, close out the world and re-connect with each other. Nothing gets in the way of this time and no interruptions are allowed. The marriage becomes top priority and a message is sent that your spouse is the most important person in the world.
Re-establishing intimacy with Christ is also vitally important. Connecting with Christ is the key to being transformed. It is in these moments that God reveals His character, calls us higher and asks more from us. For God to reach the inner chambers of our heart we need to find the dark days in our life. Should we desire or demand anything less with our heavenly Father?
Scrutinize every moment and you will find time that you can turn over to Christ. Analyze your friendships and ask the hard questions. Are they leading you to the cross or away? Do your conversations celebrate Jesus and do you relate what God is doing in your life? Do you have a determined commitment to lift each other to Christ and do your conversations end in prayer?
If you have even one friend on your list that answers no to these questions then maybe it is time to use that time for a one on one time with Father. He wouldn't mind and I am sure you won't either.
Does the fire still burn?
Does the love still flow?
Are there things to confess
that God needs to know?
Do you need to whisper
that you still love Christ?
Do you need to declare
He is all you want in life?
Transform me Lord
to be just like You.
Here I am Lord
Do what You will do.

Once upon a time there was a beautiful light house keeper.
Her man was a sailor and he was afraid that she would find someone else whenever he was away.
She said to him "As long as that light up there is lit, my heart will always be yours.
So from then on, whenever he was away at sea, he could just look back and he'd see that light and he knew that his true love still cared.
"Dark Days", "A Light", whatever it takes to stay connected in the heart.
Reading about your thinking on the "Dark Days" I actually sank inside to realize what I have been living without. Someone who makes time to make a marriage top priority. I wouldn't even know what that was like. It's like a dream that I am not settling for less next time. Not ever.
Christ must be important and central. Celebrating Christ together as one. A dream come true.
Thru the darkness see the light. Remember God Loves You!!
Amen.
