I will be their God and they will be my people2Cor 6:16 Have you ever been in an argument with God? Has He ever called you to something and in your lack of conviction or confidence you dismiss ed the assignment. When we respond this way we either dismiss it, deny it or destroy the very request God is calling us to. "Lord the timing is not right." Satan is good at filling our mind with thoughts of inadequacy. He is the great debater and too often the Kingdom is stalled out over our lack of using our God given gifts. I speak from experience. When God pressed it on my heart to write this devotional my exact words were, " Lord, exhorted writing is not my style. I can write the poem or song but I am not a teacher." But then I heard " Trust me and I will give you the words." Like a fountain that never runs dry the words continue to flow. What ever God has called you to do just do it. What ever He has revealed in your heart of hearts get to it. God will confirm the deed and the consequences will point right to the cross. In the end you will walk with a Heavenly dignity and you will be called faithful. You will recognize Him as your God and He will call you "His people." The God that made it all, owns it all and paid for it all will be like a good friend sitting at your side. How foolish of me to question what You have brought to my table. All because of You I am equipped and I am able. As I gaze at the task before me my eyes are set on You. What ever You ask What ever You need my heart is willing to do. |
