Thy servant hath found grace Gen 19:19 In the recent tradgedy of the bridge collaspe here in Minneapolis the death tole keeps rising. I was talking to a friend that takes that bridge home every day. She would have been on the bridge that day but for a friend that talked her into staying for supper. I wrote her a song and called it " It could have been me." But it was God's grace that kept her off the bridge. She is God's servant because she works with the homeless everyday. Grace is described as God's favor and His forgiving mercy. It is considered all abundant, glorious, all sufficient, and undeserved. As believers we are under grace, abound in grace, stand in grace and are told to speak with grace. Grace is a gift that is given. Yet, how often do we stop and realize the the gift. Once it is trully understood that it could have been you then you too will walk closer to Christ and realize the beauty of your life. If I could not see the stars or hear the children play then God would still communicate but just in other ways. He'd find a way to reach me to keep me safe from harm. No matter when we're walking we're always in His arms. Though dangers always present and lurking in the air, He sent His Son to guide us we are always in His care. The time's that I am anxious I close my eyes and see The peace that God has promised is resting over me. |
