Stand Firm

" hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith, and love, which are in Christ Jesus." 2 Tim. 1:13 A life long friend and i were discussing our ex husband and wife. Each of us were trying to get a handle of the proclamation of Jesus in their lives and yet when it came time to stand strong on the word how weak and worldly they were. A.W. Tozer Writes, " Increasingly number of Christians are becoming ashamed to be found unequivocally on the side of truth. They say they believe but their beliefs have become so diluted as to be imposable as to clear definition." Tozar, calls us to stand firm on the word of God that lives and abides forever." The Apostle Paul advised a young preacher named Timothy to hold fast. So when the tough times come it is our opportunity to show the world we are committed to Christ and to scriptures. When the tough winds come against our marriage, our relationships and rise up to take us out stand strong. Our strength will increase as we patiently wait upon the Lord. Our wisdom will be multiplied and our grace from our Lord Jesus Christ will be granted. But only when we stand firm. To be sold out for Christ is to step aside and let God rule your life. For to be called a Christian in name only is not enough. We must stand on the world boldly. Let us stand feet forward to the cross. Eyes upward, heart open, soul searching for Jesus.
