Therefore I say to you do not worry. Matthew 6:25
Ever watch two rats go after something they want? They chase back and forth determined to get at the object of their choice. They gnaw and gnaw until that bag of goodies stands wide open and they are ready for the feast.
That is the way Satan works at us with worry. One small doubt gives him the opportunity to enter our minds and before you know it he has a foothold to our heart. We are told to capture all of our thoughts for this very reason.
Worry separates us from Christ. When Satan can lather us up to this point we begin to doubt the Scriptures and question Christ. Rest assured that what ever the circumstance you stand knee deep in God is able. God is much bigger than any issue or problem you might be staring at. Why? Because God is God.
In The Arms Of Christ
In the arms of Christ
I'll lay my head
away from Satan's snares.
Protected by God's goodness
assured of all His cares.
When troubles mount
and all seems lost
can't make it through the hour
I'll drop down on my knees
and call upon His power.
For Christ is there
to carry me
the times I cannot walk.
And Christ is there
to listen
when no ones there to talk.
He only waits to comfort me
no matter time of day.
I just need to talk to Him
and let Him show the way.
When troubles come
and all seems lost
Ill tell Him how I feel.
Empty, cold and lonely
And " Lord, this can't be real."
The things I knew so long ago
have faded all away.
Now I fight for every breath
to just get through the day.
In the shadows of His wings
lies protection all day long.
In the presence of His holiness
I will sing a new song.
For the object of my love
is and must be Christ.
For He alone
can comfort me
as He defines my life.

Brad, once again, your poem reveals the depths of our hearts - you echoe yet again, what we plead before our Jesus in our hearts. Powerful message in this poem Brad and as you say "straight from the heart". God bless you friend. :)
