Train up a child in the way he should go Proverbs 22:6
The other day I let one of the teen boys use my car. When he came back his buddy inadvertently locked the keys in it. my first reaction was to spit and sputter about it but Wes was already raising up enough cuss words for the both of us.
So I took the other path. I simply picked up the phone and called a Lock Smith. No fuss and no fowl language.
As parents it is up to us to mirror Christ. They read our lives. If my thought s are pure they will see it. If my words are clean they will hear it. If my actions reflect Christ and if I am softened by His quiet presence they will see it. If anger is not a part of my countenance and if revenge never traces my lips they will model it.
Remember, the greatest gift we can give a child
is the knowledge of God
so seek Him and they will follow.
