Water For The Soul

If any one thirsts let Him come to me and drink. He who believes in me out of his heart will flow living water.John 7:37 I can't imagine ever running a marathon.I can't even begin to understand the preperation to get to the starting line. The adrenlin that flows through the veins as the crowd swells in anticipation waiting for the gun to go off must be something else.I don't know where in the race the body just cries out for something to drink, something to quench the thirst and replenish the lost vitamins. I have never felt my body cramping up in excruciating pain. But I do know that this last six months I have been in a spiritual marathon. I have experienced the commitment it takes to bow down and moment by moment listen, respond and obey. I have felt the pain of correction and of His loving hand drawing me close. I have tasted the tears and although they are not from sweating they have been tears of correction and they taste the same. We can be the water to the soul for those that are lost and those that are searching. As the helpers stand at the finish line distributing water we can do the same for the lost.
