Then He said to his disciples " The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest. Matthew 9:37,38
A picture came into my mind yesterday. I had this picture of being in a dark room. I wasn't alone though. Far from it. I was alone with my Father and He was making a specific point to me.
We were looking at a field but instead of wheat or corn God was running the lost and the lonely through a movie projector. I saw face after face of dejected empty people. Then it was as if God said " Show them who I am."
The time is now. My play time is over. I have accepted the job. I want to be a seed planter. It starts with a want to. A desire to get up and go. I must show them Jesus.
I will look for the door slightly cracked open. I will take the time to enter into a persons life. I will write a song that says come along. I will send a card to say I care and I am there to help carry the burden.
I am a seed planter. I will be at their side, I will pray behind closed doors. I will be at the edge of their sidewalk waiting until their heart is ready to pray out loud.
I am a seed planter. With all of my efforts I am waiting until their hand reaches out and I can show them the way to Christ and together we can head down that road to the cross.
I am a seed planter. I will live to give because it is in the act of giving that the soul becomes alive with passion. I will give when nobody understands why, encourage because that is the only language I know how to speak.
Jesus is my most peaceful sleep and I want to pass it on. I will wait on the Lord to break their independent spirit and call them to Himself. I am a seed planter and I rejoice in every smile that finally says "I get it. I have found Jesus." I am a part of the miracle of regeneration. I am a seed planter and I represent the humanity of Christ.
