Do You Have Hunger For Christ?

Oh God thou art my God; I shall seek thee earnestly. My soul thirsts for thee, my flesh yearns for thee. Psalm 63:1

I was talking to a friend the other day and she said " You seem to have a hunger for Christ right now." It is the words right now I need to pay attention to. I realize my hunger for Christ has to be as natural as a mother feeding her newborn child. Feeding time is a bonding time for mother and child. I need to bond with my Father by feeding on the word.

I need to diligently carve out a quiet time for the Lord to move me, correct me and communicate with me. The feeding time wit mother and child is a constant repetition of nourishment and growth. Likewise, I have to maintain that desire to know God and grow God's character within me constantly.

I want to crave the Lord moment by moment. And I have to place it as a top priority. My hunger fr Christ as to be maintained as a top priority and like newborn thirst for her mothers nutrition I must thirst after the Lord.

Father,
I crave You in my life
and need You at my side.
Correcting me, directing me
come Spirit abide.

So often I am chasing
the things I want today.
Forgetting my promise
to live Your way.

Our little golden trinkets
become the focus of our eyes.
Listening to Satan
and the entrapment of his lies.

Just bring that 'Right Now" moment
and please Lord help me see
the value of Your word
and the wisdom You have for me.
