Something Has To Happen

As for the message that you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord, we are not going to listen. Jer. 44:16

As Christians we all have that moment in time that is etched deep in our memories. That moment when our self will, self centered desires broke down and we caved in to Christ. For me it was 32 years ago. But, even tough it is a once saved transaction I still have to moment by moment take on the enemy. My self will is something i have to bring to the cross everyday.

My stubborn adherence does not sit well with Christ. This self reliant, self centered, self sufficient stubborn man fights all he can. If I don't do a free fall into His arms everyday I will want to do things my way.

It is far better to wake up every morning with my arms held wide open to Christ. Far better for me to go to bed every night looking straight into His eyes and reaching for His heart.

"Prepare ye the name of the Lord", so that He may triumphantly come right into the heart, and there set up His throne and reign with undisputed sway. Something has to happen.
Something has to give.
A broken beat down surrender,
when we ask Him to help us live.

A request from deep down in the heart
to help us start a new.
Yes, something has to happen
deep inside of you.

And when your spirits broken
and lay crumpled on the floor,
then God can work His miracles
and come walking through the door.
