He Came With An Attitude

Anyone ever been on jury duty? For me it was at the young age of 21. Needless to say in and of itself jury duty is an experience. But the real life experience was not the serving but the one there to serve. You could see it everyday we gathered. Bill lit up the room with his laughter and just pure joy. He came with an attitude that life is grand and I am happy to be here. When others complained he laughed. When others tried to leave he chose to stay.

When we come with an attitude to serve it shows. Recognizing our spiritual gifts and then bringing a willing heart that chooses to use them to further the Kingdom is an act of servant hood. What comes before the actual service is the understanding and accepting of the gift. Without a surrendering, willing heart one can not serve. But bring that heart to the cross and great things can happen. Has God called you to something that takes your head out of the shell and causes you to stick your neck out.?Good. You will live a rich, fulfilling life. Combine genuine desire to use our gifts with a servant attitude and the enemy shrinks back.

Feed my sheep.
This is God's desire.
To defeat the enemy
we must be on fire.

Look around,
does someone need your touch?
A helping hand, a smile
can mean so much.

Let's not get so busy
that we don't take the time.
There is no extra effort
in a heart that is kind.
