Moved To Tears

Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears. Acts 20:31

Ever since I asked Christ back into my life I see things differently now. There is an intense desire to spread the good news. I carry a weight and a seriousness to my days. I feel remorse for those that don't know Him and I am determined to do something about it.

I feel the sorrow of others plights that I never felt before. But, after reading this scripture I understand it more. When I would break down after driving by a homeless man I said to the Lord, "There must be something wrong with me." But I understand so much more now.

I am changed by the blood of the Lamb. I no longer am Brad centered but Christ centered. I no longer am too busy to pray, unwilling to listen or unscathed to open up my heart. I stand guilty as a man that was reaching for the wrong things in life.

But not any more. As the Holy Spirit convicts I weep. Sometimes I am face flat on the floor. I watch the tears roll down my face and splat on the floor. Those tears wash away my failures, my guilt and whisper "it's O.K. as God knew this was the process He needed to take you through. I was a wild stallion that needed to be broken and I love what I have found in my Father's arms.

Lord,
the times that I have cried
have drawn me closer to You.
A chance to empty myself out
and watch what You will do.

A cleaning that was needed
to re adjust my heart.
A chance to fall down on my knee's
and ask for a new start.

So thank you my sweet Father
for catching every tear.
For erasing all my doubts
and calming every fear.

Now fill me with belief.
Let me over flow with hope.
My fears gently disappear,
I no longer need to grope.
