How Is Your Walk?

I am the vine, you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him he will bear much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5.


When I am apart from Christ I can feel it. T here is a gnawing, a heaviness to my spirit. But God sends me that gentle reminder. That tap, tap,tap of the Holy Spirit. To express it through a song it would go something like this:

I've lost that loving feeling
oh that loving feeling
I've lost that loving feeling
now it's gone gone gone
and I can't goo on...

When we reach that state, similar to a pilot light, out desires for Christ must be re-ignited. The only solution is to shut down and shut out. Shut down our busy schedule. Clear our mind and cling to Christ. Christ must be re-established to be at the top of our to do list. All priorities must be re-examines and re-aligned. My time for the Lord is in the morning. The house is quiet. I am not caught up in the business of the day. There is a peace that wraps itself in the darkness and gently comes to me.

Apart from Christ we can do nothing of significance. All our efforts will be futile. Apart from Christ we have no purpose, no joy, no motivation, no meaning, no peace, no hope.
But a life that is centered on the Lord Jesus Christ is a life that gives, loves, hopes, perseveres. Now that is a picture of success worth striving for.

On The Wings Of The Morning

On the wings of the morning early as can be
I call upon the Lord to come and teach me.
Spirit enter in,
illuminate my mind
make every lesson a one of a kind.

The troubles that I carry
I now give to you.
I lay them at your feet
to do what you will do.

My faith is fully strengthened
because of who are.
A world without faith
can only wish on a star.

For the breathe of the almighty
gives understanding.
You alone are worthy of my praise.
I stand before you declaring
I will worship You the rest of my days.


I will walk in your presence,
draw close to you.
Do only that
which you ask me to do.

My heart is open,
please enter in.
Just keep my heart
away from sin.
