Intimacy With Christ

If you are like most people these days it is getting harder and harder to find that quiet still time for Christ. It is hard because of the pace of life. So many options for entertainment. Big screen T.V mania with 197 channels. Telephones with everything under the sun. DVD's that fit right in our pocket.

But having a hunger, a inner desire to be intimate with Christ is the key. I personally know that intimacy starts on the inside and works it's way out. It is a longing that desires to have His hand placed in yours. You look for His gentle touch and influence in your life. You turn your ear towards heaven and wait for His whisper.

Knowing Christ intimately is beyond head knowledge. It is heart knowledge. When we peal off the layers and ask God to enter in then big things happen in our relationship with Christ

How quiet is quiet ?
How still must I be?
For You to reach down
and communicate with me.

If the radios blasting
can I still hear Your voice?
Must I turn it off?
Is that my only choice?

I want to know You Lord
as the tree's know the breeze
Intimacy Lord
come touch me please.
