Do You Have A Burning Heart?

Did not our heart burn within us? Luke 24:32

I don't know about you but I have been a proclaimed Christian for 32 years now. I can also say that I have backslid and sidestepped with many before me. The steps that I had to take and the events in my life that God used to call me back are etched deep in my heart to never be forgotten.

As I write to you now everyday to feed the flock as God requested I also realize it cements me to Christ. I now realize it is the glue that binds me to Him. It lights my heart and is a voice I want to capture. These words are brought to the alter and nailed to the cross everyday. All to plant a seed. It is my burning heart that I must share.

"We need to learn this secret of the burning heart. Suddenly Jesus apears to us, the fire are kindled, we have wonderful visions, then we have to learn the secret of the burning heart that will go through anything.

It is the dull, bald, dreary common place day, with common place duties and people, that kills the burning heart unless we have learned the secret of abiding in Jesus." Os wald Chambers.

Did not our hearts burn with us? Luke 24:32. Mine certainly did when I first accepted Christ. I said He was the way and I proclaimed Him as my life.

Just imagine all He wants is every ounce of us. He wants our hearts to be broken so He can pick up all the pieces and put them back together just as He chooses. He wants our mind so that we can be reprogrammed, regenerated and solely guided by Him. And He wants our soul so that He can reach down into the very depths of our being and breathe new life into us. All He wants is all we can give and He wants it willingly.

There is an aching in my soul
so eveident and true.
Without Jesus at my core
I can't love you.

There is someting missing everyday,
something missing in my life.
My peace does not exist
if i don't ave Christ.

So I'll surrender to the Savior
I'll surrender to te King.
I'll just be a vessel
and send the love He brings.
