You Are my heart

I will love thee Oh Lord Ps. 18:1

As a writer there are times I would have to say when I know I am not leading the pen. Today was one of those days. I was knee deep in my work. I had eight houses to set up to show a client. This particular client had already looked at forty houses and still nothing. Short sales and mold tend to be the culprits.

Somewhere in the midst of all that brain power came these words, " You are my heart." I put down my computer and began to contemplate one word. INTIMACY. I remember asking myself when was the last time I had poured my heart out to Christ? And why don't I do it more often?

To be intimate with someone means to have a deep heart felt connection. A thirst, a hunger for. A strong desire combined with a time to set aside all else and dwell upon, contemplate.

And how do we do this with a Savior we can not see? We do it by pouring out our heart to Him as if He was right beside us. It calls for a crying out from the heart. An invitation to invade our thoughts and actions. A request to have Christ come in to the inner portion and reside in us.

So I ask you to do just that. Do it with out fear or wondering what others might think. Just close your eyes and feel His gentle request to lead you and love you. Ask Him to destroy your fears, wash your guilt away and show you how you can love Him in a new way. Unashamed, unrestricted and rejoicing in your new spiritual hunger for Him.

You Are My Heart

Let me hear your voice today.
Take my hand and lead the way.
I proclaim I will not stray.
You are all I need.

May my eyes see only You.
Make it clear what I must do.
Let Your love come shining through.
You are in my heart.

You're my every thing.
The reason I sing.
My eyes
When I can not see.

My lips will declare
You're always there
Loving me.
