A Resting Place

they have forgotten their resting place. Jer. 50:6

One of the enduring parts of the movie called, " The Notebook" is their resting place. Bought for a dime on the dollar was a house calling out to be a home. In the beginning it was their hide away and their sanctuary to hide away from the harsh realities of life.

Then this home became their dream as it painted a picture as a place to run home to. We found it to be Noah's foundation when Allie walked out of his life. It grounded him and gave him hope that someday his Allie would come home to him. And in the end it became their resting place.

And so it is with Christ. He is our foundation. He brings us our peace, tranquillity and happiness in an otherwise rudderless life. He is our shelter to run home to. Just like Noah waiting for Allie He waits with open arms wanting us to come home from our wandering days.

The wind that blew us away is not equal to the gust that brings us home. Come home to Christ for He is your resting place.
